On May 04-06, 2005 Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Branch in Can Tho city coordinated with Fulbright Teaching Program (Ho Chi Minh city) organised a course on marketing place titled “new development strategies for the Mekong Delta”. There were 55 participants including leaders from regional provinces

The agenda were about the concept of marketing place, analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the Mekong Delta, compatitive capacity and discussion of special policies for the region. The major issues mentioned in the course were that the “Mekong Delta” brand should be improved to introduce, and it should have its particular logo. In addition, the cooporation should be made among the provinces to create advantages to attract investment and promote trade. After the course all participants had got certificates of this teaching program. |
